How Will Yajuj Majuj End? Not By Any Army... (Gog and Magog) — Part 15 #Shorts

No sword and no army ends them. Prayer is answered by a small worm in one night, then birds and rain wash the earth clean like a mirror.

How does the story of Yajuj Majuj, known in English as Gog and Magog, end? Not by sword. Not by any army of men. Part 15 tells the end exactly as the tradition tells it — quiet, strange, and full of mercy after terror.

Prayer in the Siege

The narration in Sahih Muslim tells us that in the depth of the siege, Jesus — Isa, peace be upon him — and his companions will turn to the only strength left to them: prayer.

They will plead with God, as the trapped and helpless have pleaded in every age. They are shut on the mountain. They have no army that can win. Prayer is what remains.

A Small Worm, a Silent Morning

And God will answer, in a way no one could have imagined, and no one could ever resist. He will send upon Yajuj Majuj a worm. The narration calls it An-Naghaf, a small creature that strikes them in their necks.

By morning, the mightiest nation the earth ever hid will lie silent, fallen, as one man falls.

Think of all that falls in that one night. The arrows that challenged heaven. The multitude that drank a lake. The diggers of three thousand years. Gone, in a single night. Undone not by a greater army, but by one of the smallest creatures in creation. Let every proud age, including ours, sit quietly with that.

Birds That Carry the Fallen

Then the believers will come down from the mountain. They will find the earth filled with the fallen, and there will be no place to walk. And they will pray again.

And God will send birds — great birds whose necks are like the necks of camels. They will carry the fallen away and cast them where God wills.

Rain That Washes the Earth Clean

Then the rain will come. It will be a rain that no house of clay and no tent of hair can keep out. It will wash the face of the earth until the earth is clean again, like a mirror. In the scene, a vast, cleansing rain washes over plains and valleys, until the earth gleams clean in morning light.

Blessing After Terror

After the washing, the narration turns, as this tradition always turns, toward mercy. An age of blessing will open upon the earth. A single pomegranate will shade a whole company of people and feed them. And the world will taste a peace it had forgotten.

The terror of Yajuj Majuj was never the last word of their story. The last word belongs to the rain, and to the earth made clean.
