Two new AI brains arrived on the same day. One is designed for your home. One is designed for robots that work in the physical world.
Apple Built a Brain for Your Home
Apple has launched HomeView, its first dedicated smart home hub. It is priced at $299. It features a 7-inch Liquid Retina display. It has face recognition for up to six people. And Siri AI is at the centre of the experience. So the home can respond differently to different family members.
HomeView did not arrive alone. Apple also introduced a new Apple TV 4K powered by the A19 chip. It also introduced the HomePod mini 2. Together, these expand its smart home line-up in one coordinated launch, reported on 13 October 2026.
Robots Got a Brain Too
On the same day in Germany, NEURA Robotics unveiled Neuron AI. It is a multimodal foundation model built as a brain for the physical world.
Crucially, it comes with memory. This allows robots to learn from what they have seen and done. They do not have to start again each time.
NEURA's humanoid robot, 4NE1, is set to demonstrate that idea at NVIDIA GTC Berlin. It will fold laundry autonomously for 11 minutes. That is a simple household task. But it requires vision, dexterity, planning and memory working together.
AI Is Leaving the Chat Window
Together, the two launches point in the same direction. AI is leaving the chat window. It is moving into homes. And it is moving into humanoid robots.
